Risks and Vulnerabilities of Remote Research Working
What are the risks associated with the use of ICT by researchers working from home?
This SFC-funded project looks at the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on research. Many academics have adapted by working from home.
The project objectives are to:
- identify technologies used for remote working
- assess vulnerabilities associated with those technologies
- analyse risks that could have an impact on research
- consider measures to reduce, remove or mitigate those risks
Academics and research students at Edinburgh Napier University will be surveyed by questionnaire followed by an online workshop.
A Delphi-type survey will consult a panel of experts about possible responses to identified risks.
