We\u2019re organising a fun volleyball tournament on the Edinburgh Meadows, for all RPG students, staff<\/strong> and their families<\/strong>, on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd<\/sup> October. Start 1pm. FANCY?<\/p>\n

Come along even if you don\u2019t want to play, meet other PG students<\/strong> and chill out watching everyone else.<\/p>\n

\u201cYOU DON\u2019T NEED ANY EXPERIENCE OR PARTICULAR \u2018FITNESS\u2019!\u201d<\/p>\n

Volleyball is a great way to get to know each other in a fun, informal setting. It\u2019s just simple fun \u2013 for complete novices and players alike. For adults and children, fit and unfit. That\u2019s the very reason volleyball was invented \u2013 a game for everyone of any age, fitness, size, shape and ability \u2013 or none! Just good \u2018fun\u2019<\/em>\ud83d\ude0a! \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The bare minimum \u2018coaching\u2019 and \u2018rules\u2019 will be provided on the day \u2013 after 3 \u2018touches\u2019 each side, the ball must cross the net. That\u2019s it! You\u2019re good to go!<\/p>\n

Next week<\/strong> we\u2019ll mail again calling for: \u2018student\u2019 and \u2018staff\u2019 teams of 4\u2019<\/strong>, as well as \u2018individual students\u2019 and \u2018individual staff\u2019<\/strong>, from all Napier Schools and Academic Staff. Teams can be \u2018all staff\u2019, \u2018all student\u2019 or a \u2018mix of both\u2019 and can include families.<\/p>\n

If students and staff can<\/strong> form their own \u2018Teams\u2019 of 4 we\u2019d like you to. However, many, perhaps most PG students working away in isolation won\u2019t be able to do that. No problem at all, we\u2019ll quickly form you into Teams on the day.<\/p>\n

On receipt of this notification please would you:<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Note the date\/time\/place in the diary.<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Consider coming along to play or watch and recommend it to colleagues.<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Start getting Teams (of 4) together \u2013 if you can, if not just pitch up on the day on your own, we\u2019ll put you into a team when you arrive.<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Watch this space \u2013 sign-up details will be sent out next week<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
