After a very busy Open Access Week <\/a>we thought it would be a good idea to do\u00a0a round-up post. The foyer\u00a0roadshows\u00a0were\u00a0well attended and on each campus we had some good\u00a0conversations with\u00a0around 20 ‘research interested’ staff and PhD students and gave them lots of handouts to take away with them. Some even took a sweetie! The university photographer also came and took some photos of the stand:<\/p>\n

If you missed the roadshows, you can still get hold of the handouts, including the popular Repository flyer, Open Access blog, and the REF flyer, from our Open Access Week webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the week we also sent out some #openaccessweek tweets from the library’s twitter account @ednaplib<\/a>\u00a0to highlight some additional resources that we thought you might be interested in. Nobody took us up on the quiz <\/a>to test their Open Access\u00a0knowledge though!<\/p>\n

The webinar, ‘Open access and research, what’s it all about<\/a>?’ by Grainne Barkess was well attended and\u00a0if you’d like to hear what was discussed, you can view and listen to the recording of the session\u00a0on the university’s Online Video service.<\/p>\n

The events during this particular week celebrated open access and tried to spread the word about how important this is for the next REF. We will be doing more roadshows and running other training and awareness sessions in the future.
