First, let&#8217;s look at what\u00a0&#8216;ORCID&#8217; stands for &#8211;\u00a0Open Researcher and Contributor ID.\u00a0 As an individual you can\u00a0register with ORCID and receive a unique ID number.\u00a0Your name, and non-sensitive data appear on the ORCID Registry and you can adjust the Data Privacy settings yourself.\u00a0Your unique ORCID number\u00a0easily identifies your work from that of other researchers with a similar name, or in some cases identical name.
