Post-acceptance Checklist

yes-68480_1280This checklist is to help researchers whose article has been accepted for publication and is designed to help you make sure you meet the open access requirements for REF2021.

As soon as your article has been accepted for publication you need to Act on acceptance and deposit the final peer-reviewed manuscript in the University’s research repository. Use your normal University network details to login. The four-step process to deposit a research output is:

  1. Create a record
  2. Add your accepted manuscript
  3. Click the deposit button
  4. Forward your acceptance email to repository@napier.ac.uk

If your article is being made open access through the gold route:

  • Submit invoice for APC (if applicable)
  • As soon as the article is published, check it has immediately been made open access on the publisher’s website
  • If you have any questions, email repository@napier.ac.uk.
