Quality assurance of identified terms
Once the list of terms was identified, a five-step moderation process [Table 2] was conducted to ensure quality assurance. Incorporating ‘Model 2’ for moderation (Regorz, 2023), two independent moderators to determine the existence of a BSL sign for each identified term. Additionally, an Animation professional from Axis Studios (www.axisstudiosgroup.com) provided context and guidance on animation-related terminology. This process aimed to determine, with reasonable certainty, whether a BSL sign currently exists for each specific Animation or Games term.
