We thank @HIVScotland for sharing the Institute of Fundraising free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk\/library\/trustees-and-fundraising-a-practical-guide\/\"><strong>Trustees and Fundraising<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0guidance, produced in partnership with CFG, NCVO and ACEVO. This includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk\/library\/trustees-and-fundraising-a-practical-guide\">handbook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk\/library\/iof-trustees-and-fundraising-presentation\/\">powerpoint presentation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk\/library\/getting-trustees-on-board-with-fundraising-top-10-tips\/\">ten top tips<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk\/blog\/tags\/trustees+and+fundraising\/\">blog<\/a> and the below animation. \u00a0It is not worth repeating the top ten tips here, please view them directly on the IoF website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk\/library\/getting-trustees-on-board-with-fundraising-top-10-tips\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"604\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nXVOU96Bl3g?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<p>OSCR also has some excellent advice on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oscr.org.uk\/managing-a-charity\/fundraising\">website<\/a>, covering\u00a0regulation, rules, Scottish charity law and handling complaints.<\/p>\n<p>Other than the general guidance available we considered the potential of a <em>&#8216;Fundraising Trustee&#8217;<\/em> role. This was seen as positive and many suggestions were made on how best to get value out of trustees with fundraising experience and interest.
