Migration and Mobilities Research Network is an interdisciplinary research network based at Edinburgh Napier University. It was founded in 2017 and brings together scholars working on the complex topics of migration and mobilities from different disciplinary perspectives.
As a research network, we work together to:
1. Further understanding of diverse patterns of migration and mobilities: from shifting geographies of refugee migration and refugee protection, to critical understanding of hospitality and tourism.
2. Provide a meeting point for scholars, students and practitioners working in what may sometimes seem as divergent disciplines and fields to explore the connections between their approaches to these topics, as reflective researchers and practitioners.
3. Bring together scholars at different levels of university life.
4. Develop links between MMRN and research groups working on similar areas within and beyond the UK.
