This is a place to keep you informed about the library, such as changes to opening hours, equipment for loan and our library spaces.\u00a0 Furthermore, we will also post lots of fun items too (check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/library\/2023\/01\/28\/celebrating-world-lego-day-at-edinburgh-napier-university-library\/\">Lego<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/library\/2023\/08\/07\/barbie-from-iconic-fashionista-to-cultural-phenomenon\/\">Barbie<\/a> posts), informative posts (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/library\/2023\/07\/17\/out-and-about-in-scotland\/\">Out and about in Scotland<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/library\/2023\/07\/20\/international-moon-day\/\"> International Moon Day<\/a>) and posts raising awareness (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/library\/2022\/06\/08\/world-ocean-day-wednesday-8th-of-june-2022\/\">World Ocean Day<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/library\/2023\/04\/04\/stress-awareness-month\/\">Stress Awareness Month<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Opening hours<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Opening hours are listed on our <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/library\/about-the-library\/opening-hours\">webpage.<\/a> Hours will change during trimester 3 and at holiday periods.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Library Search<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/library\/help-centre\/help-videos\">Library Search<\/a> is our catalogue which lets you search for books and articles and gives you access to thousands of ebooks and articles.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Book loans<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Books can be borrowed from the self-service kiosks using your student card. Loans are for up to 4 months, provided the book is not requested by another user. You will receive a borrowing activity letter each week which will let you know whether your loans have been renewed or if they should be returned.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Click and Collect Service<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>You can make requests for books using our <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/library\/finding-resources\/click-and-collect\">Click and Collect<\/a> service. You can request books from any campus library and you can collect them from whichever campus suits you best.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Study spaces<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>All campus libraries have group study rooms bookable through <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/life-on-campus\/book-a-study-space-lab-or-pc\/resource-booker-user-guide\">Resource Booker.<\/a> Additionally, We also have individual study spaces and collaborative desks which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Laptops<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>All campus libraries have <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/life-on-campus\/computers-on-campus\/laptops-to-loan\">laptops for loan<\/a> from our Lapsafes. Loans are for 2 weeks and the safes are self-service, operated using your student card.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Special events<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Not only do we help you with all your studying needs, but in addition, we also run events throughout the year so keep a look out for posters and social media posts to see if booking is required. Previous events include an Easter Egg Hunt and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canineconcernscotland.org.uk\/university---paws-against-stress\">Therapets<\/a> visits.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Library tours<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Want to learn about all things Library and get a head start on your studies? You can book a <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/library\/getting-started\/introducing-our-libraries\">library tour<\/a> to get all the information you need for your studies!<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Get Connected<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>IT is offering <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/it-support\/get-connected\">Get Connected<\/a> sessions at the beginning of term to help with connecting to university Wi-Fi, using the Napier app, multi-factor authentication and any other IT issues you may have. These are drop-in sessions at the times and places listed in the link.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Printing<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Printers are available in all campus libraries-make sure that you have enough <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/life-on-campus\/printing-scanning-photocopying\/general-printing-scanning-and-copying-facilities\">print credit<\/a> to complete your job.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Relaxation Spaces<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you need to take some time out from your studies head to our <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/library\/about-the-library\/relaxation-spaces\">Relaxation Spaces<\/a> &#8211; there&#8217;s one on each campus.
