Microsoft Forms can be used to create surveys, quizzes, and polls, invite others to respond to it using almost any web browser or mobile device, see real-time results as they&#8217;re submitted, use built-in analytics to evaluate responses, and export results to Excel for additional analysis or grading.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Further information can be found for <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.napier.ac.uk\/services\/cit\/O365\/Pages\/MS-Forms.aspx\">staff on the intranet<\/a> and for <a href=\"https:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/it-support\/how-do-i\/survey-software\/ms-forms\">students on My Napier<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4150\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/learningtechnologyhub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2021\/02\/novi.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"143\" height=\"55\" \/>Novi<\/h3>\n<p>A web-based survey application to facilitate the gathering and analysis of data from different audiences, both on and off campus. Novi is hosted on University resources which is more secure and reliable than other free utilities available on the internet and supports the needs of the <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.napier.ac.uk\/services\/research-innovation-office\/Pages\/Research-Integrity.aspx\">University Research Integrity Committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a staff member and require access to <a href=\"https:\/\/survey.napier.ac.uk\/Login.aspx\">Novi survey<\/a> but don&#8217;t currently have access you should email the <a href=\"mailto:ISServiceDesk@napier.ac.uk\">IS Service Desk<\/a>.\u00a0Once you have access, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/survey.napier.ac.uk\/Login.aspx\">https:\/\/survey.napier.ac.uk\/Login.aspx<\/a> and log in using your Edinburgh Napier login ID and password<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong>All student surveys must be given <strong>ethical approval <\/strong>before students are given access to the software. Further guidance on the procedures for each School can be found on the <a href=\"http:\/\/staff.napier.ac.uk\/services\/research-innovation-office\/Pages\/Research-Integrity.aspx\">Research Integrity intranet page<\/a>.\u00a0Information for students, including guidance on ethical considerations can be found on <a href=\"http:\/\/my.napier.ac.uk\/IT\/YourITServices\/Pages\/NoviSurvey.aspx\">myNapier<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/moodlecommunity.napier.ac.uk\/course\/view.php?id=154\">Novi Survey Support course in Moodle<\/a> provides a range of resources to support students and staff in the use of Novi survey for gathering and analysing data from different audiences, both on and off campus. The course is available for anyone at the University to self-enrol, and a course forum is actively monitored for questions and comments. The <a href=\"https:\/\/ask.napier.ac.uk\/category.php?id=75\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AskNapier knowledge base<\/a> also has a section on the University Novi service, and general help can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/novisurvey.net\/Survey-Software-Help.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Novi website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5174 size-full alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/learningtechnologyhub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2023\/05\/MoodleFeedback.png\" alt=\"Feedback icon\" width=\"93\" height=\"92\" \/>Moodle Feedback<\/h3>\n<p>The <em>Feedback<\/em> activity is Moodle&#8217;s survey tool for gathering student feedback within specific Moodle courses as shown in <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nXxZW7bCBeU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this overview video<\/a>.
