{"id":2051,"date":"2019-04-04T09:40:57","date_gmt":"2019-04-04T09:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/cwst\/?p=2051"},"modified":"2019-04-04T09:40:57","modified_gmt":"2019-04-04T09:40:57","slug":"woodmusick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/cwst\/woodmusick\/","title":{"rendered":"WoodMusiCK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Announcement of the next conference<\/p>\n<p><strong>WoodMusICK2019 at Edinburgh University,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Edinburgh (UK), 17th-18th October 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The next WoodMusICK conference will take place on the 17th &#8211; 18th October 2019, hosted by the University of Edinburgh at St Cecilia\u2019s Hall.<br \/>\nThe theme this year will be Wood, Musical Instruments, and Sound.<\/p>\n<p>The EU-funded COST-Action <a href=\"http:\/\/woodmusick.org\/\">WoodMusICK<\/a> started in 2013 and brought together scientists, conservators, instrument makers from different fields. After the conclusion of this four-year project, it was agreed to keep this platform alive and continue having biennial conferences. Since we have no financial support from the EU-COST-Action, this year there will be a conference fee and the organisation committee will not cover travel costs.<\/p>\n<p>Please, save the date. More information, a website and a call for papers will be published soon.<\/p>\n<p>The theme this year will be Wood, Musical Instruments, and Sound.
