{"id":1370,"date":"2017-10-24T20:13:17","date_gmt":"2017-10-24T20:13:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/cwst\/?p=1370"},"modified":"2017-10-24T20:13:17","modified_gmt":"2017-10-24T20:13:17","slug":"csic-innovation-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/cwst\/csic-innovation-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"CSIC innovation challenge funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Advanced Timber Products Innovation Challenge&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Forestry Commission Scotland (<a href=\"http:\/\/scotland.forestry.gov.uk\/news-releases\/1879-advanced-timber-products-innovation-challenge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FCS<\/a>) and the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs-ic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CSIC<\/a>) are\u00a0jointly offering support to companies who have an ambition to design and develop innovative wood-based\u00a0products and systems for the construction sector.\u00a0They are seeking innovative Scottish\u00a0companies whose ideas can be prototyped at the CSIC Innovation Factory and be commercialised to\u00a0solve industry challenges.<\/p>\n<p>In total, they are offering up to 120 days of free access to\u00a0CSIC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs-ic.org\/innovationcentre\/innovation-factory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">state-of-the-art manufacturing and testing facility<\/a>, together with\u00a0technical support.<\/p>\n<p>They are looking to support between 2-5 projects\u00a0 &#8211; meaning between 10-40 days of Innovation Factory time. Projects that use Scottish products and raw materials &#8211; particularly <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/cwst\/grade-in-britain\/\">home-grown timber <\/a>&#8211; are encouraged.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/cwst\/staff\/\">Get in touch with us in the Centre for Wood Science and Technology<\/a> if you think we may be able to help &#8211;
