Professor Pete Robertson, p.robertson@napier.ac.uk. Pete is project lead. His other interests include the training of career advisers, the links between careers and health, and support for disadvantaged job seekers.
Professor Peter Cruickshank, p.cruickshank@napier.ac.uk. Peter supervises two of the PhD students, and helped bring together the project proposal. His central focus is on information practices associated with engagement with digital systems by ordinary people.
Dr Bruce Ryan, b.ryan@napier.ac.uk. Bruce manages the creation of this project’s podcasts and runs this website. His main research interests are in the interplay of computing and hyperlocal democracy.
Susan Meldrum, s.meldrum@napier.ac.uk. Susan is assisting Pete with the organising of interviews for the podcasts. Her research interests include group work in the field of career development.
Maria Cecil, maria.cecil@napier.ac.uk. Maria has contributed interview questions and podcast content based on her PhD topic, sharing key perspectives on gender and STEM careers. Her other research interests include apprenticeships and work-based learning, careers information, advice, and guidance (CIAG), and widening participation in education.
Marina Milosheva, m.milosheva@napier.ac.uk. Marina’s research interests lie in the areas of information behaviour, information literacy, and young people’s career development. In episode 2, she discusses her doctoral research, which is associated with two key objectives: (1) understanding young people’s career information behaviour and (2) developing tools to support their career information literacy.
Elysha Ramage, 2493373r@student.gla.ac.uk. Elysha has contributed to this project, sharing her findings from her PhD and access to technology for those in rural areas. Her other research interests are careers information advice and guidance and especially the role of socio-economic status and geographical location on career choices.
Marianne Wilson, m.wilson2@napier.ac.uk. Marianne contributed to episode 3, discussing automated careers advice and information. This was based on her PhD research on responsible design of career information chatbots for young people. Her research interests include AI ethics, dialogues and narratives as information media, digital cultural heritage and metadata for data governance.
