We found a lack of knowledge about the many diverse tech careers out there and the women progressing in these roles. We also identified some isolation issues, due to women and girls being in minorities studying computing and working in the tech industry or digital teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We took 3 complementary approaches to these challenges:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/womenintotech\/case-studies\/\">Case studies<\/a> of women in tech roles;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/womenintotech\/connect-ups-2\/\">Connect-Ups<\/a><a href=\"\">:<\/a> themed online groups for women studying and working in tech in Scotland;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.napier.ac.uk\/womenintotech\/connect-ups-2\/\">Webinars<\/a> led by Equate Scotland looking at ways to address the challenges of working in tech and including skills, such as peer-mentoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Women into Tech supports and encourages women studying and working in tech: apprentices (foundation \/ modern \/ graduate), students, and professionals.
