Meet the academic: Francesco Pomponi

Here’s the first of our ‘meet the academic‘ interviews – where we ask researchers a few questions about their work, and tease some tips from them.

Dr. Francesco Pomponi (FRSA PhD AFHEA MIET) is a Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellow in the School of Engineering and the Built Environment (SEBE).

His research lab is REBEL (Resource Efficient Built Environment Lab).

Francesco has recently been awarded an EPSRC grant: Getting the numbers right and getting the right numbers: quantifying the embodied carbon of building structure. http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/R01468X/1

An associated book he’s edited is Embodied Carbon in Buildings: https://www.springer.com/us/book/9783319727950
