Remembrance and Reconciliation: Exhibition at Craiglockhart

We are delighted to announce that the Edinburgh Napier University Craiglockhart Campus is hosting an exhibition “Remembrance and Reconciliation”, from 10 November – 13 November 2025, alongside colleagues from the Consulate General of Germany.

The exhibition centres on the fate of British Army soldiers killed in Kutenholz, Northern Germany, shortly before the end of the Second World War. Among the fallen was Robin Tudsbery, whose parents later founded the Robin Chapel in Edinburgh in memory of their only son. The precise circumstances of his death, and that of his fellow soldiers, have come to light through the dedicated research of the German volunteer association Heimat- und Kulturkreis Kutenholz e.V., based in Lower Saxony. Under the leadership of curator Debbie Bülau, whose work was recognised this year with the award of an Honorary BEM, the group has ensured that these stories are preserved and shared across borders.

You can book a 2-hour slot to visit the exhibition via Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/3VNu846, or just drop in.

How to reach the Craiglockhart campus

The Craiglockhart campus is also home to the War Poets Collection, recognising the building’s history as a hospital during the First World War.

This exhibition and event is hosted by the university’s Centre for Military Research, Education & Public Engagement.
